Prosperity or poverty consciousness

“If your everyday life seems poor, don’t blame it; blame yourself; admit to yourself that you are not enough of a poet to call forth its riches; because for the creator there is no poverty and no poor indifferent place” – Rainer Maria.

We already have everything we need to make our lives happy, but we lack the consciousness or awareness to appreciate it. Are you fixated on the abundance in your life, or are you fixated on the lack in your life? Do you feel prosperous, or do you feel poor?

Ask yourself these questions:

  1. Do I have a roof over my head?
  2. Do I have a bed to sleep on?
  3. Is there food in the house?
  4. Can I walk, talk, and listen to music that stirs my feelings?
  5. Can I see the beauty that exists all around me – the blue sky, the clouds, the stars at night?
  6. Am I healthy?
  7. Do I have clothes that I can wear every day?
  8. Do I have money coming in every month?
  9. Do I have a family that I love and who loves me?
  10. Do I have friends that I care about and who care about me?

When you’re finished answering these questions sit quietly, and reflect on your answers and feel the emotions of knowing that life is good. Allow yourself to smile and feel how good you feel.

“Your diamonds are not in far distant mountains or in yonder seas; they are in your own backyard, if you but dig for them.” – Russell Conwell.

Many people have developed habits of fixating on what they lack, and inadvertently they’ve created a poverty consciousness.
Our true state of being is prosperity, but we have to choose to develop a prosperity consciousness by directing our thoughts to our abundance.

Once we realise that both poverty and prosperity are parallel realities, and that we must decide which one we will make our reality. Always remember that you have the control, and you are the author of your fortune, or your misfortune.
